The applications for visas to build new homes have been an accumulated total of 60 695 authorizations to build apartments at the end of the third quarter of 2017, according to the latest data from the Ministry of Development. If this rate has remained stable we could reach a total of 81,000 authorizations for 2017, the highest figure since 2010 (year in which 91 600 were requested), in 2016 it was 64,038 visas.

In the first three quarters of 2017, a total of 21,567 visas were requested to expand and renovate homes, + 2.7% compared to the same period in 2016.
