More foreign buyers in Spain in 1H2017: +13%

In the first semester of 2017, 13% more transactions of sales have been by foreigners. Thus, 50 087 transactions were registered, 19% of all purchases and sales in Spain, of which 53% were by resident foreign citizens. In Catalonia, 20% of sales have been by foreigners, with many French (44%) for transactions of non-residents.
By nationality, are the British buyers (14%), followed by the French (9%), German (8%), Italian (8%) and Romanian (7%), Belgian (6%) the most important with a total of 52% of purchases by foreigners in europe. Purchases were made by foreigners outside the EU, mainly from Morocco (6%), China (5%) or Russia (3%). In the trend has seen a strong increase compared to 2016 for foreigners residents of the Americans and Moroccans, a drop in purchases by Britons (-16%) according to the figures of the General Council of Notaries.
